I'd think that witnessing a burning piano would be awe-inspiring. Just hearing the strings snapping and watching the successive failure of structural members would be worth the price of admission.

And to be fair, there are a lot of pianos that have spent most of their miserable lives in damp basements, untuned for decades and rusting away that deserve to be burned. A piano bonfire would be appropriate.

The most fun I had this 4th weekend was riding on a float in a small-town parade and playing the same half-dozen marches over and over. I don't think that any person in the audience heard more than 15 seconds of anything, but we were the only live music in the parade and well appreciated.

Just watch out for those railroad crossings and potholes...
