Hmmm, these are definitely small holes, and they are between the valve slide knuckles. It almost looks like a place to oil the valves, if you have a needle-nose bottle. I guess I'll have to take it apart to be sure what they are. I'll try to get a better picture up too. (what i need is a better camera...)
