This is another reply to the Jacobs Greatest Question. My school library has the LP recording of the Vaughan Williams Concerto with AJ playing with Barenboim in 1977 (I think 1977 anyway). I've been listening to it and another recording with John Fletcher. One thing I have to say about Jacobs is that he sure wasn't afraid to take something a little faster. Maybe it's just cuz Fletch is English, but if it were a race, Jake would win.
