High?  You aren't looking at one of the trombone parts are you?  (The G. Cherry disc provides those parts also.)  I played this work a year or so ago and used my Meinl Weston 2145 CC.  The tuba part fits very nicely in the contrabass tuba range.  An F tuba could be used, but I see no compelling need for it.  Musically, it was a thrill to play this work.  It is a very fine symphony indeed.  If you are going to be playing it, you'll love the exposed pppp passage at #40, and the several aerobically challenging fff passages.  There are some wonderful passages where the tuba seems to be the rock-bottom foundation of the entire orchestra-----it's the sort of stuff that makes orchestral tuba playing so very special.
