I actually ended up with another Eb helicon with a smaller "main circle". The smaller instrument that I'm keeping sounds a bit gruff, but the "plus" is that the smaller/gruff helicon came with a hard case (for touring - my original purpose of the detachable bell York...but I never got around to building a trapezoid-shaped case for the [when disassembled] York).
