Venting piston valves cannot affect slurs because the vent hole is never in contact with the vibrating airstream. The only exception is (as others have pointed out) cases in which the air trapped in non-vented valve tubing may have developed a small pressure difference due to a temperature change. For example, if you are playing outside on a cold day and you haven't used that valve for a while, the air trapped inside its tubing will have cooled enough to produce a significant drop in pressure. Then you will get a pop when the valve is depressed, and venting will eliminate that problem. But if you have an important slur coming up it seems to me that you would be foolish not to wiggle the pistons ahead of time.
If you like to work the slides a lot while you play then vent those pistons just to avoid pops. But don't bother with the others.
