1) Matt at Dillon Music in Woodbridge, NJ has been working on one of his horns. He would be a veritable treasure trove of information on Geib. Steve Dillon may have information, as well.

2) Find a copy of his Method for Tuba. Fred Geib played in New York City in the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra among other things. The method book has his biography.

3) Herb Weksellblatt (I know I probably massacred the spelling!) Live in Brick, NJ. He has a horn with the same set-up and roughly the same age as Fred Geib's. Herb's & (&Geib's horn) horn has four valves, but the fourth valve is set as another 2-3 combination, not the modern 1-3 combination. The horns are pitched in B-flat. Herb is retired as the tubaist with the Metropolitan Opera.
