Hi Mary Ann. I understand your sentiments about the age issue . Last year was my first time at the ABQ seminar and I too, was a little concerned about my age (31) and the age of the "target audience". To my surprise and relief, there were a few that were older than me. As a matter of fact, Dr. Fred Young was there, and young at heart he was. (no relation, I don't think) Great guy!
Besides, it was great being around the ABQ as a student tuba player in a quintet. And to top that, it was extremely helpful watching them teach the younger folks. I was learning new ideas and concepts and how to relay those to others - and that's not too mention the interaction between some of the guys from the Buffalo Symphony.
I wouldn't let age be a barrier to going There's a lot of useful info being handed out there!
Cheers
