Hello. I have a recording bell-forward tuba (5/4 size) and would like to add a straight bell from a different tuba to it so I can have the "best of both worlds." The forward bell is 23 inches across, and the tuba bell I'd like to use is 17 inches. I do not know how this would turn out intonation and acoustic-wise so that's why I am turning to you experts out there to see who has done this type of work and get your opinions if possible.
