I used to own a PT4 which I loved and still miss. I am sure the PT1 is a really nice instrument. You may consider checking into VMI BBb tubas because I had heard that they are very much like the B&S BBb but quite a bit less $. You can't go wrong with the PT though they are play tested before they go to Custom. I have not played one I did not like except the PT22 Eb. I still consider that particular horn to be under development but it has potential if they would fix the intonation.
