If you noticed in my first post, I said that I liked my F to sound "more like the CC" not that it sounds the same. I'm not saying that you can do everything on F that you can do on CC. Unless you're extremely proficient on both instruments, it's a hard thing to accomplish. Let's say you've got a 7 octave range on your CC, if so, then what's the point in have a euphonium, trombone, french horn, or trumpet. It fact is, it's easier for them to do certain things than it would be for a tuba, be it F or CC. If we're going back to the golf analysis, then I would say yes, the putter is easier to swing, but you can't hit it as far as the driver. It's virtually impossible, unless your driving is terrible, and then what's the point of playing.
