The catch is mediocre quality. I purchased a Bestler euphonium last year (I was just getting back into playing and didn't want to spend a fortune in case I gave it up again). I spent less than $200. It wasn't too terribly bad. I did have to keep polishing the valves and tuning slides to keep them in reasonable working order. I could tell that the tuning slides were out of alignment. The ports on the valves had jagged edges. It was stuffy and I had to blow to get a note (no pianissimo on this horn). Intonation wasn't bad, I never checked it with a tuner but was able to blend with the group I played with. For me, it served it's purpose: a way to start playing again without a huge investment. I've since moved on to a Yamaha YEP-642S (found an ok deal on a demo one at the local music store). Now I have to decide what to do with the Bestler. I think a fountain in the front yard would be nice.
