Go price a Stradivarius violin, or even a Mt. Vernon Bach trumpet. The fact that they don't make 'em anymore (or at least don't make 'em the same way) often increases the value of an older instrument.
Joe Baker, who can think of two 70-year-old tubas in the Great Lakes region that could command 10 times that price.
