The 1295 is a 1290 with the tuning slides moved to a more ergonomic position. From what I can see, the 1291 is an entirely different beast. Different bore, different valve branch configurations, different throat. I suspect that when the 1291CC hits the market, the 1295 will go the way of the Dodo, as long as the 1291CC lives up to expectations set by the 1291 BBb.
