I am a high school student and am currently trying out 2 cc tubas - a rudolf meinl and a kalison daryl smith. Both are comparably priced at $4200. Does this seem a fair, ball-park price? Also, any recommendations on a mouthpiece? I have been playing on school supplied Bb tubas and using my mouthpiece a conn helleberg 7b. I play in a symphony orchestra and hope to use this tuba for solo and audition work. Thanks for your help, this will be my first tuba purchase and i want it to last awhile.
