FWIW, be careful with drum straps. When I was doing a lot of outdoor jobs I went through three of them -- the metal clips kept breaking. It got to where I was tensed up all the time, waiting to catch my horn when (not if) the ^%$$ shackle broke.
If you have a Reunion Blues gig bag, they come with straps that will clip onto the rings many horns have (I don't know if your horn has them). Now whenever I need a strap I just take one from the gig bag. If you go that route, you may need to improvise some padding to keep the metal parts from scratching your horn.
Another idea -- check out your local luggage store. Many briefcases and garment bags use shoulder straps nowadays and you can find them in many different styles.
