I've been using a bass drum strap. It's wide and the clips seem to be strong enough to hold my big old BBb tuba just fine. A little padding in the form of a small towel folded up under my shirt on the left shoulder helps in long parades. I find it easier to carry and play than the sousaphone. The strap I have came from Cooperman Fife & Drum in Centerbrook, CT.
