I sent out a plea similar to yours in the early days of the tuba-euph list. I have a Conn 24J with a recording bell. I exchanged several emails with a Chuck Jackson who fabricated his own upright bell for a 20J from a Cerveny Kaiser bell. It was simply a metter of cutting it to the right length and mating it with the collar. I saved all the details but never tackled it myself. He bought the Cerveney bell for $300 at the time - new. I also exchanged emails with a well-known tuba repairman on the topic - he said it would be an $800 project and that was 5? years ago.
