Ironically, the recommendation is the same for both women and tubas. I recommend the one that makes you happy, not the one that meets everybody else's (including your own) preconceived notions or what all the other professionals/peers have. Of course, the beauty of such a philosophy is the task of getting in the trenches (so to speak) and trying out several models! :)
