I recently came across a very repairable Elkhart-made bell section for a Conn 8D double french horn. My daughter is playing on a Holton, and I think she deserves a better horn. Do any of you in the repair/sales industry or band directors have an old Elkhart or Texas vintage 8D with a completely ruined bell (tears, patches, thin spots, etc.) that I could purchase? (Rotors with good tolerances would be a nice "plus".) I have some nice shiny new Conn 8D's in my store made by U.M.I., but I would like to build her up a "special" instrument. After all, she's MY daughter. (You Dads know how it is.)

The french horn websites are OK, and I have posted there, but this is such an active website that I thought I would have better luck asking here. (I know this is not tuba-related at all. Is that OK, Sean?)
