I have a CB50 (Canadian Brass--the same as a G50) and like it very much. I use the rotor as a fifth valve on the the CC side, not as a conversion from CC to BBb. I hadn't thought of the rotor in these terms. Dave Fedderly tells me the horns are a little darker in the lower keys -- I hadn't given it much thought -- but it makes sense.
