I've had the opportunity to play this model 3 or 4 times over the past several years, most recently in 1998. In my opinion, the horn is a pretty blatant copy of the HB-21. Tuning slides, bore size . . . the whole 9 yards. The big differences, however, are the resonance and the tuning. As Jay mentioned, the RM version didn't seem to resonate very well, regardless of the mouthpiece. Further, the intonation was HORRID, even for a RM. If these problems are ever solved (and who knows, maybe they are w/the "improved" version), it'll be a horn worth looking at, esp for $6,300.
