I am a Juilliard graduate and I can say that the auditions, at least for tuba, are very fair. Warren looks for the best player(s). I really think that you guys need to spend more time in the practice room so you can "win" the audition instead of trying to second guess what will happen in the audition. It is also true that you only have two chances so donīt audition unless you are a serious player with serious plans.
