My wife has no pitty for us at all. She plays horn which is pitched in both F and Bb. On both sides of the horn she must transcribe music from just about every key imaginable. Complicate that with stopped horn which changes the fingerings again. She also must be fluent in treble and bass clef. I am talking about 80 or so possible transpositions to learn for each note on the page when all of this is factored in.

We only have about 4 transpositions in only one clef.
