One note of caution. Make sure you insure with Amtrak. They lost a tuba that I shipped once (it was insured).
Also, if you pick up the tuba (if buying from a vendor) you may be required to pay sales tax, where as if you are shipping, you won't. Legally, you are supposed to pay sales tax to your state on anything you order that is shipped to you from out of state - congress is discussing this due to the e-commerce phenom.
