Want my honest opinion? Try to get a good price on the used PT-15 that Cyndi is selling in Chicago. Her asking price right now is $6500 with bag and case. That is not a steal, but it is a very fair price. Maybe there is some more bargaining room there. The new PT-15's cost around $7500 with no case or bag.

The MW45S is a good horn, but not a great horn IMO. The MW45SLP is a much better horn and costs about the same as the MW45S. I generally dislike piston F's, but the MW45SLP sounds and plays almost exactly like the rotary German F's. It is also a very consistant instrument with good intonation. I still like the PT-15 better than it overall though.

I tried the MW182 at ITEC in Minneapolis and hated it. I felt like I was playing on Mini-Me to a Miraphone 184. That is just my opinion though and your mileage will vary.
