Matt, that IS the bible. it contains everything from the first time you pick up a horn to some VERY advanced solos. I would suggest you get the trumpet book. the trombone book, although it is in bass clef and easier to read, was adapted from the trumpet book specifically with slide in mind, while the trumpet book is written for valves, so there is a slightly different approach to some things. i would also suggest that you use trumpet figerings, regardless of what key tuba you're using, rather than trying to transpose. there are a lot of exercises in there where specific fingerings are suggested, and if you don't use trumpet fingerings, those exercises will be far less helpful.

i'm sure there is plenty in the trombone book that would be beneficial, but, playing a valved horn, the trumpet bokk will be better.

so... yeah. get it.
