I stand beind Metallica in their fight

Lets say you cut a tuba cd, and lets say it gets popular. Would you rather reap a few benefits form your hard work when people buy it off record store shelves, or would you rather see the cd's you paid to have made collect dust while the entire collection is traded free of charge to any who want it online.

Selling cd's is Metallica's "job." I should imagine that any person/company who found their labors being in vain because of free trade would react in a similar way. It is impossible to run a business successfully, no matter how big or small when the product you sell is available at no cost from other sources.

That is exactly the reason a country does't allow counterfiet money to be legally circulated. The country would die because nothing would have any value.

I think those of us in the "music industry" should be the most supportive, if anything.

Anyhow....that's my rant for the day....would love to discuss further...

thanks for listening

Neil (maybe I'll have a cd of my own someday....*sigh*) M.
