This is interesting, I would love to see Dr. Youngs evidence on 16-18 litre capacities. If you still have a copy of the spirometer readings of mine then maybe put them on some sort of link? As could Dr. Young show evidence of his findings. I wonder if altitude affects readings? I also have long torso and short legs (gorilla)like Will, There should be different scales for different body shapes, my predicted FVC is 5.1 litres my actual FVC reads 7.94 litres. Thats 155% of predicted! A lot of Brits. are long bodied and short legged just like Gorillas, maybe we are the missing link?
