I've been thinking about a way to fix that minor clicking you are talking about, but I am a little puzzled too. I tried oil, amd adjusting the linkage (it's nylon, not metal)
It may be the bumpers have gotten too hard to give an effective padding, or the bearings need to be "swedged", which is a minor repair procedure. I don't think this is the case because the valves have so much compression on them I think the rotors are fine.

Anybody else have any tips on how to quieten the rotors on an 11 year old miraphone? it's the one with the nylon linkage that has the adjusting screw on each linkage point. this tuba also has the "presto" linkage.
If we can get some good suggestions tracy, the next time I see you we will try some of them.
