My warm-up always (ALWAYS) consists of a SLOW scale going up and down, one octave, usually Bb with an Eb to get the higher range started, then a F two octaves trown in sometime for a greater lower and higherrange without getting to high or too low. I've done that since 7th grade....I guess our band director got me hooked. It just sets the mindset (hmmm, that sounds funky) to "Ok, I'm practicing now" for me.

Sometimes my warmup ends up being my practice session because I'll do a LOT of long tones....but usually because I like how those feel....I don't think it really helped much since I stop concentrating after a while........
