fantastic question Tracy, but it may be hard to answer for several reasons. Degree plans change all the time at every universities, and what is required this year probably will change next year, or at least by the time you graduate. I also don't think schools like to put full course requirments on-line because they don't want people shopping for the school that allows a degree with the least amount of work. (I know that is NOT what you are trying to do)
If memory serves, these are the basic classes that you can expect to take to get a degree in music education.
4 semesters of music theory
4 semesters of ear training
multiple semesters of music history
multiple semesters of conducting
composition
orchestration
functional piano
brass methods
string methods
woodwind methods
percussion methods
private instruction every semester
some kind of recital class (usually no credit, but required)
multiple ensembles EVERY semester. usually one credit each
plus of your core classes like english, math, sciences, language, history..ect...
education classes plus student teaching.
There are others, but that is all I can come up with off the top of my head.
You could contact the schools at the top of your lists, and get them to e-mail the course requirements to you.
