1) Go see a live concert with a great tuba player
2) Crank up some tuba-jock music...I like parts of Bruckner Symphonies Nos. 4, 7, or 8...or Star Wars stuff.
3) Go practice where other students are practicing...the "drive" to do well can be contagious
4) Talk with others in music...sometimes just talking to others who can empathize will do the trick
5) Pretend that everything you play is being listened to by your peers in a band or orchestra rehearsal...and you really want to impress the clarinet player that you've had a crush on for the past semester!
