Come on...re-read the post...there's no slamming going on, he just said Hirsbrunner F's don't have the typical German sound. The man's owned Hirsbrunners for quite awhile.
Its matter of opinion, but I agree. The (piston specifically) Hirsbrunner F along with the Yamaha and Wilson F's tend to lean towards smaller CC tuba sounds. They're usually easier to play, especially in the low range which usually draws people away from the German F's (PT, Rudy-Meinl, Meinl-Weston, etc...)
