I applaud you for looking out for your own best interests.

I also have a feeling that you are going to have more lessons in your life that are not to your immediate liking, but they will probably be good for you, in the long run. I have had a few lessons in my life that I did not "appeciate" at the time, only to look back on them gratefully.

Here is some other advice: get at least ONE lesson from the "greats"- take from these lessons what you like, and what works for you, and DISCARD the stuff you don't like. Do NOT be combative or argumentative with the teacher, just listen to and absorb the "good stuff". The lesson is for YOU. If the teacher is willing to teach you, let them GIVE what they have to offer.
