We had a student teacher this past year that insisted upon our marching band playing the funeral march, even if the other team was on the 2-yard line in overtime. After playing it six or seven times in that game already, no one wanted to play it. So I just decided to try to learn the melody a half step higher than written and about as loud as I could play as we played....didn't get a very good look from the student teacher, but it was still kind of fun!
