About 1970, I was playing Sunday nights in the summer with the Karl King band, and the great march composer was still directing the band. We got out one of his circus galops (you older guys know what those are all about) and ripped it out, one to the bar, and finished the whole thing in about a minute and a half. When we finished, there was the momentary silence before the audience started clapping and honking their car horns. A high school trombonist sitting in was heard to ask "Aren't we playing the trio?" We have never laughed so hard in our lives.
