Any chance of a book chronicalling the tuba players in the studios from the early talkies forward? I love Leroy Shields' music and would love to know who played on the old Laurel and Hardy and Our Gang shorts. And I always assumed that Tommy Johnson played the Flinstones. It was nice to know that George Bouje played. I made a good friend in Dick Hammergren when he settled here. He was a treasure trove of anecdotes about the glory days of the 50's and 60's(his words), but mostly about trumpet and bone players. Thanks for the info and please keep it coming.
