Such was the legacy that accompanied my York Master. It is the horn once owned by Oscar LaGasse that Jay mentioned. It came to me from Chuck G. under the provision that it remain a BBb, which in my case is an easy condition to meet. This provision was reiterated to me by Chris Hall when we met in New York a couple of months ago to pass along the forward bell for this horn. Now, had he required that the horn be well played...

To Jay: Next time you are in the DC area, let me know. You can come by the house and blow notes on Oscar's horn to see if you like it as much in fact as you do in memory. It's a better horn now that valves have been vented and the receiver has been properly tapered for a normal mouthpiece.
