We've been having a discussion of rotary valve bearing related issues and as part of this discussion a couple of us speculated that very little "engineering" as opposed to try and see traditional methods have really been applied to our favorite instrument.
I know there are a bunch of assorted engineers, technoids, geeks, etc on this board, so I hereby solicit comments on what you think a really professionally engineered tuba would look like and act like and how it might differ from what we're used to
