Here's my faves list:
Boston Brass: hands down, the best concert of the week!!!! These guys have it all....musicality, sound, chemistry, charisma.....and they had Jens Lindemann filling in for Rich Kelley, their normal trumpeter, who was off getting himself married.
Steve Mead/Pat Sheridan recital: always a good show. A lot of laughs and good tunes!
Al Baer/Norm Pearson masterclasses: it was very interesting for me to hear two different players demonstrate the way an orchestral section should sound. Jay Bertolet did a class also, but I got there too late to hear the excerpts. I'm sure it was also good!
Meeting all the different folks: this is always a highlight for me, meeting different people who I've only ever heard of or seen their name on a message board, as well as seeing old friends again. You all know who you are!
Also, discovering that ITEC 2004 will be in Budapest, Hungary. I am soooo stoked for that one! But first, must give ears a dose of treble clef to balance things out.
