I have obtained a old helicon in a trade. It plays OK, but the clock springs on the 3 rotary valves appear to have lost some of their spring. I have jerry rigged heavy rubber bands that give enough boost to make them work reasonable well, but I'd like to do what is necessary to fix them right. My regular repair man has never worked on clock springs and is reluctant to get into something he has no knowledge of, and I don't blame him for that. Any one here have any ideas?
