You can find cheap CC's without too much trouble. Problem is, you want a "good" cheap CC, and that is much more difficult. Actually the same can be said for a tuba in any key, but there are fewer CC's than BBb's to start off with. To avoid taking a chance, I'd suggest checking with David Fedderly at Baltimore Brass. His link is listed under "Shops" on the opening page of this site. Others are also listed there and would be a good place to begin. I've found that tubas on E-Bay often are sold for much more than they are worth, and there's always the possibility that there could be some defects.
