It is well known to this board, that I browse auctions to get informations.
On a French site I found some interesting photos from the old Gautrot factory of Paris. Only one of them comes with this posting.
Below the photos there is a long text in English concerning among other brass items that of compensating brasses, that apparently existed in France before Blakley came up with his version in a later decade.
