Perhaps you could send me a tape. Many professional tubists cannot play a chromatic scale starting on their pedal note, even at quarter note speed. It is because of their equipment and their lack of super human qualities. My thesis is that the instruments should be built to make mechanical aspects of playing easy, so that we can concentrate on musical matters.
