Wise and pleasure to read, Rick! I got acquainted with this Board only in last January, and I have learnt alot; however, it is a bit disappointing to realize how small the part of rational considerations (and engineering knowledge) is that is involved as far as the players themselves are concerned. Extremely many pro vs. contra opinions in regard to the domain of pragmatism: Metallurgy, design, and engineering concering tubas. So, I was delighted to find and read your sound analysis as part of your web site, one of the rare objective bulletins in the "genre". One would wish more reality of this kind, although I completely agree to all what you and many other wise guys contribute to the psychological analysis parts so far, but this is a different story where assumptions may flourish aside bare facts - rather than in the world of physicists.
