I went all through high school with a monster Sousaphone on a Wenger chair. When I brought a horn home to practice over the summer, it was a Sousaphone, and the Wenger chair held it instantly available. In a band where every other brass instrument had a bell pointed straight at the audience, the bell front was a *feature*.
The only downside for Wenger-mounted Sousaphones is that they become an attractive hazard when the band room is shared by other activities.
