Having heard Warren Deck in the Phil. on numerous occassions, I can't help but feel real sad about this. I'm sure that there many of us in the tuba community (or in my case, HACK tuba community) who wish to put out our heart felt thanks for all the wonderful performances that Warren was involved in. I got to hear him play under Bernstein several times, as well as under Masur. I wish him all the best in his retirement from the Phil.
