I have always played with low pressure.

However my extremely snobbish mother insisted, that my two parallel (that is not in-line, not meeting at the central point) upper central incisors were pressed backwards and in-line by means of a brace.

Disaster, disaster! My tongue was bereft its necessary space, so a speech deficiency was imposed on me. Making my years of education a pest.

During a small ensemble concert at the age of 25 (playing the bass line) I sensed an explosion within my head.

Only during the intermission I realised, that the incisors had sprung forward into their original positions.

The only resulting problem was, that the gum-flesh between the incisors was sensed as a bit crushed for 3 months.

The protruding edge of the left central incisor forced me to take out whatever might have remained of mouthpiece pressure.
