I own a 56J and I love it. When I picked mine out, I went to Dillon Music in NJ and tried the 4-6 56Js and 1 or 2 52Js they had there. I also tried other tubas that they had there. Long story short, I felt confident when I left that I bought the best horn there.......for me. I know people who LOVE these horns and others who don't. My advice would be to try out as many of these horns as you can. Good luck!
